The format of this in-company training is also entirely up to you. It can be a 2-day in-person or online workshop or a coaching programme of several weeks.

  • 1. Moderated user testing: the fundamentals

    What kinds of usability testing are there? When to use which method? What about eye-tracking? And when are heatmaps interesting?

  • 2. Recruitment of test participants

    How important is it to recruit the right users? How can you reach them? What about user testing platforms? How to avoid no-shows?

  • 3. Test scenario

    Your test scenario is the translation of your research question. How to determine the scope of the test? How to order your tasks? What kind of questions should and shouldn’t you ask?

  • 4. Moderating skills

    You’ll learn how to avoid the common pitfalls of moderating a usability test: how to ask questions in a non-leading way, how to make use of non-verbal communication and much more.

  • 5. Documentation & analysis of the results

    How do you end a day of user testing with actionable results? How to keep the observer room involved? How to convince people to act on the results?

  • 6. Hands-on

    We want everyone to go home with the first-hand experience of preparing a user test, writing a test scenario and moderating a short test. So you feel confident to go out and do your own moderated user testing.
