What I do at AGConsult
The current focus of my job is usability and expert reviews.
My job consists of giving you concrete and practical advice to offer your clients the best user experience possible. We don’t just formulate this advice based on gut feeling, we base it on facts and research.
Personally, I like diving into data gathered from Google Analytics, heatmaps and surveys to find out which issues your users encounter. Based on those findings, we will formulate a plan to improve your website.
What I did before AGConsult
From 2016 to 2020 I studied Communication Science at the University of Ghent. As my specialized master, I chose New Media & Society.
During that master my interest in User Experience was sparked in a short session on how to wireframe with Figma. Additionally, I was introduced to a wide array of methods for user research in an innovation challenge in which we were supposed to invent an innovative and technological solution to an issue around the theme of learning disabilities.
That same year I decided to start an internship at AGConsult. During a period of 3 months I built practical skills by joining different projects and trying out different tools. Of course those 3 months were far too short to learn everything there is to learn.
That and the passion and expertise of the team made me even more excited and eager to keep on learning about usability and conversion optimization. The second I graduated in September 2020, I joined AGConsult. Though this time as an employee.
Because we are a small team of driven and passionate experts, I get the chance to work on many different projects. This makes it so I can deepen my knowledge and work on my practical skills in the best possible environment.
So, you could say I learned from the best.
When I’m not working…
Chances are you could find me at a concert or festival. Apart from that I like walking my dogs in a forest back home, spend time with my friends having a drink or being cozy & watching a movie on the sofa at home.
I also love traveling, preferably countries with nice scenic views like Iceland. As long as it’s not a boring lazy beach vacation, I’ll be in my element.
